LEADTOOLS Cloud Services is very programmer-friendly and can get you rolling quicker than most APIs and SDKs on the market. Below is a quick startup guide for using our services in your application.
1. Register
To use the LEADTOOLS Cloud Services you will need to create an account with us. Don't worry, you don't have to give a credit card or much information for your 50 free pages! All we need is your name and a valid email address.
Please make sure you can receive emails from the @leadtools.com domain. If you don't receive it within a few minutes, check your spam folder just in case.
2. Confirm
After you fill out the registration form, you will receive an email with a confirmation link. You will need to click that link, or copy/paste it into your browser to complete your registration.
3. Log in for the first time
Once your account is confirmed, you can log in with your username and password.
4. Open your Developer Dashboard
Logging in will likely take you there automatically, but in the case that doesn't happen follow this link to open your dashboard.
This is where you can manage your account, applications, and purchase pages if you continue to use LEADTOOLS Cloud Services after your 50 free pages.
5. Create an application
Click the link under the Application Summary to create an application. If this is your first application, you will get 50 free pages to test the services.
On the create application form, you'll need to give your application an AppId, which you will use when making requests to the Services.
In addition to your AppId, we ask a few quick questions about how you plan on using LEADTOOLS Cloud Services, including the features, deployment, and description. These questions help fuel our analytics and learn to better serve our customers as we expand the services in the future.
6. Get your Application Password
After creating your application, you will receive your Application Password. Use this in conjunction with your AppId to make calls to the Service.
NOTE: It is very important that you not share your Password. It is best practice to use it only in server-side code. If you believe it has been compromised, you can generate a new application password at any time via the Application Settings page accessed from your Developer Dashboard.
7. Start Coding!
You are now all set up and ready to go! Check out our developer documentation for a full API reference, tutorials with sample code, and downloadable demo sample applications.
8. Get Additional Pages
There is no trial or evaluation period, just 50 free pages to use the live services without any risk or throttling whatsoever. Therefore, if we have earned your business you'll need to acquire more pages to continue using the services after your 50 free pages are used up.
You can either pre-pay for a pack of pages, or subscribe to the services and never run out of pages for your application. Visit the pricing page for more details and a breakdown of volume discounts.
If you haven't already, you will need to complete your user profile.
